Now over - see above for winter pool

The summer pool sessions will once again run at Cheltenham Lido. The sessions run from Thursday 7th May to Thursday 3th September, 19.30 - 21.00. Whether you're completely new to kayaking or just need to get that bombproof roll nailed then get your swimming cossy out and get down the pool. There will be qualified BCU coaches on hand to guide you through the skills you need to know.

What do you need to bring ?

  • Cash to cover pool hire
  • Swimming gear - Speedos / cossy / boardies / bikini etc..whatever takes your fancy!
  • Wet suit and/or water proof cagoule can make things a bit more comfortable.
  • Goggles can be useful if learning to roll so you can see just where that paddle is.
  • Drink/ snacks/ fish food.

Club boats and kit will be available to use by all but feel free to bring your own boat if you have one. After the pool session, the club meets at Dowty's Sports & Social club (From 21.00 onwards) to enjoy a pint and a natter and to arrange weekend trips. If you need more info, get in touch with the committee.

A detailed programme will be published shortly, but till then, pencil-in every Thursday in your diary for paddling...
