It's next Saturday at Dowty's Sports and Social so you need to buy your tickets by next Thursday, or phone Steve Slater to reserve them. Tickets are a mere £6 for adults and £3 for juniors.
Activities start between 6 - 7pm. There will be a hotly contested game of rounders and target golf . We will also be featuring the throwing the egg competition and the "get your kit on" race and any other games we can think of in the meantime. There will also be a giant Jenga set plus boule. If anyone has a croquet set or Twister, please bring them with you.
Archery will take place in a safe area under the watchful eye of Pete Bogle. This is available to adults and older teenagers. Sorry, we can't accomodate the younger juniors.
The unicycle will be there, of course, and the usual juggling paraphernalia. We are hoping to set up the paddling machine with instruction on how to paddle correctly. Now's your chance to find out.
BBQ food will be served once the activities are well under way, sometime between 8 - 9pm. We are ordering from the same butcher as last year so we guarantee that the food will be fabulous. As we are using Dowty's for this event we are expected to buy our drinks from their bar.
Gerome is very kindly providing a marquee plus chairs and tables. We will be setting up at the other side of Dowty's sports ground opposite the club house. You can pitch a tent for the night. It's £6 per tent and it doesn't matter how many people you want to cram into it.We understand that "the facilities" will be open through the night.
It has been suggested that we run a flat water trip in the afternoon which is timed so that you go straight to the BBQ afterwards. If anyone is interested (bearing in mind that the kids will probably be up late that night) let Noreen know via the forum and we will try to find some water.
See you there.
