The BIG Paddle - dates for your diary

To celebrate thirty years making gear for paddlers, Palm Equipment invites you to come for a paddle at a new and unique event taking place on 15/16th May.

Set on the stunning river Wye between England and Wales, Symonds Yat East will play host to a very special paddling weekend that will bring back the feel of the Grand River tours of the 1980’s.

Winter Pool Sessions are back from 4th Feb to 25th Mar!!!

Winter pool sessions start back this week. Directions to Tewkesbury pool can be found under Club Info. The sessions start at 1900 and finish at 2030. To ensure a prompt start get to the pool for about 1845 so that you can change before the prevous group take over the changing rooms.

Steve Slater is kind enough to take up 6 or so boats each week for those that dont have their own. However, if it is possible for those who need a boat to pick one up from the club shed before the session, please do so. Give Steve a call to arrange a time (number in the Newsletter), this will lessen the burden on him.

Remeber - those with their own boats must ensure that they are clean before they go in the pool. No sand, mud, loose screws or peeling stickers please.

Coaches/Lifeguards - we are short of volunteers to help run the sessions. Anyone who is willing can coach, you dont neet to be BCU qualified. Guaranteed that you will know something that others don't and any knowledge transfer is good for all. To be a lifeguard you either need to be an Old Level 2 or New Level 1 coach with a valid first aid certificate. Again, if you are willing to help out please get in touch with Steve.

If you need further information drop me an email (link in Club Info).
